I chose this book because, honestly, I often feel like I don’t use my time well. As a university student, I sometimes delay my tasks or feel busy but not really productive. So I wanted to read something that could help me fix that.

In general, Time Power talks about how important it is to manage our time properly. But what I like the most is that the author explains that time management is actually life management. It means if we can control our time, we can control our life too.

The book explains simple but powerful ideas like setting clear goals, focusing on important tasks, and avoiding procrastination. It also shows that successful people are not just lucky—they are just better at using their time. The main message I got is that if we want a better life, we need to start by managing our time better.



Detailed Content of One Selected Chapter

One chapter that really stood out to me is Chapter 1: The Psychology of Time Management.

This chapter explains that managing time is not only about making schedules, but also about our mindset. The author says that our life is a reflection of how we think. So if we think we are lazy or disorganized, we will act that way too.

One thing I found interesting is the idea of “locus of control.” It means whether we feel in control of our life or not. If we believe that we control our life, we will feel more confident and motivated. 

The chapter also talks about negative beliefs. For example, some people think, “I am just a messy person” or “I can’t manage time.” But actually, the author says this is not true. Time management is a skill, and anyone can learn it.

There are also some practical tips like talking positively to yourself, imagining yourself as a productive person, and acting like someone who is disciplined. I like this chapter because it made me realize that the problem is not just my habits, but also my mindset.


Habit that i want to change

This book made me realize something a bit uncomfortable: I waste more time than I think.

Sometimes I feel busy, but actually I’m just not focused. I delay important things and choose easier or more fun activities instead. And in the end, I feel stressed.

One part that really influenced me is from Chapter 1: The Psychology of Time Management. In this chapter, the author explains that our habits come from our mindset. If we keep thinking that we are lazy or not organized, we will continue to act that way. 

That part really made me reflect on myself.

I realized that maybe the problem is not just my schedule, but also how I see myself. Sometimes I already think, “I will do it later,” and that becomes my habit.

So, the change I want to make in myself is inspired by this chapter.

I want to change my mindset first, so I can manage my time better.
I want to start thinking that I can be disciplined and organized. I also want to train myself to stop procrastinating and start doing important tasks earlier.

I know it won’t be easy, but at least now I understand where to start—from my mindset.


Conclusion

In my opinion, Time Power is a very useful and easy-to-understand book. It gives practical ideas that we can apply in real life. Even though some parts feel a bit repetitive, the message is clear and strong.

I would recommend this book to students, especially those who struggle with managing their time. This book is also good for beginners because the language is simple.

Overall, this book helped me realize my weaknesses and motivated me to become a better and more disciplined person.
